Elizabeth...I join you in sharing encouragement to all againers out there. While I know our wait with Abrazo as an againer, was honestly very short (November 2007 - May 2008)...before we found you it was not. We begain our journey when Jack was 2.5 and in May this year he turned 7. As you can imagine we have done plenty of reflection over the last 2+ weeks and remembering all the ups and downs that have brought us to today. Jack's steadfast desire to become a big brother kept us centered and determined that God would provide if it was best for us as a family. I believe 2008 was when it was best...Jack is the best helper and attentive big brother we could ever ask for and we certainly realize some days may be challenging ahead (which would happen irregardless), we do know that "somebody" brought us our angel when the time was right. I know this can\may sound corny or unbelievable to some....I was in your shoes not long ago as we passed our 4 year mark of this journey to a second child and our belief in the "when" had its moments of uncertainty, so my heart goes out to you and aches with you. There is no magic solution...I can only say that what worked for me was to focus more on the here and now and what was in our control and let the rest be.....difficult for two parents who are planners, however it was a great life lesson in flexibility and trust for sure. If any of you againers, need someone to talk too...please feel free to PM me....I would be happy to lend a shoulder and ear. Take Care and Here is to Happy News in your future. Baby Dust!!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!! The long awaited announcement!!! So happy for Melissa, Chris and Grace Ann and so looking forward to seeing photos of Grace Ann with Ethan. Special thoughts and prayers being sent across the miles to Billie. You have blessed the Merritt's with an angel, may you now receive many blessings throughout your lifetime!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Sara's firstmother tonight and every night as well...may she always know how much we treasure her "pearl" and surround her with our love. May she receive God's blessings and gifts and know in her heart how much we give her thanks.

So how many lucky couples will be attending this coming weekend orientation.....are you able to tell us yet?? Can't wait to welcome them all to our extended family!! And of course watch their journeys, like ours, unfold together !! So why not send that application in and join us for orientation next weekend!?! You'll be in good company, with four other already-parenting couples, and we're just 5 hours down Interstate 35! Come on down! You'll be glad you did!

So what is the slogan?? Even though we are againers...we are not againers with Abrazo, as we adopted locally in WI for our son. So, inquiring minds want to know....maybe someone can model them, take a photo and post it in the gallery for all to see !!!
