Anyone see Leno last night??? During the monologue he was talking about Madonna's pending adoption plan. Jay said he imagined that 'All of you women that have been waiting so long to adopt probably wonder what the secret is to speeding up the process' (pardon the paraphrasing). Punch line: 'All you need is to sell a million records and have a bunch of money'. Again-totally paraphrasing but that's the summary. :angry: Sad but true??? Doesn't sound like much of a joke/punch line. The audience cheered. I guess it seems that people feel like she 'bought her way into adoption'. ?

And when I log on and scroll down the main forum page and see that someone has posted a new post (say like Stork or chilemom, or whomever! ) under the announcement thread! I get excited too!!!

Wow! What a beautiful, happy family! Look at all that hair!!! Too cute! We are in awe (though not surprised) by the miracles we are witness to! Jumping in on Lisa's post...(Hi Lisa! ) Char, in Michigan, right? Was the quote including post placements? That is really high if not! I'm not sure where in MI you are but I would love to recommend our homestudy agency. They were reasonably priced but more importantly, very kind and did a great job. Bonus: they have done homestudies for other Abrazo familes so they know what they are doing as far as requirements! PM me if you need their info. Good Luck!

Hey guys! I'm going to but in...hope that's okay! Amanda, there are three Abrazo families from Shreveport in the July orienation group And Then...There Were Ten. I have personal information that they are all REALLY great people! Between the four of you guys, you could have your own adoption support group! There is a really neat lady around here somewhere named Gigi. She had and 'Adoption garage sale'. It was a HUGE and I mean a HUGE success! Family, friends, co-workers, friends of friends, people she didn't even know, donated items of all kinds, a massage therapist donated gift certificates to sell, they sold bottled water and hot dogs. The possibilities are endless! I thought it was a great idea, I just never had a chance to put that together! Congrats on getting busy with the homestudy and let me tell you...it's never to early to shop! Welcome to the forum!!! (Hello Ellouise! )

Geritol? Eat more peas??? I would love to know how that's supposed to work!!! We never tried either of those........... I wanted to echos everyone's sentiments and add.... We met with our insurance agent this past weekend. He knows we are adopting. That is why we were meeting with him-to find out about infant coverage. He just had a baby two weeks ago. Congratulations! That's wonderful! We were happy for him; but he kept complaining about how he "hates it when they're babies"; His exact words. "They don't do anything and are no fun until 6 months or so. I hate the puking and diapers and they just lay around. They spit up on you, it's awful. Really you don't want to deal with any of that." Ahem. :angry: Don and I kept looking at eachother and biting our tongues. If he had said it once; okay, whatever. But he kept going on about it. Don shut him up when he said how he looks forward to up all nights and would be grateful and thrilled to have a little spit up on his shirt. People don't think................
