  1. Congratulations to both of the new families! We can't wait to see pictures of the two newest Abrazo baby boys!
  2. Wow! I just feel floored about this whole situation! I hate that this little one will be foster care for a year (at the very least) when there were at least 2 wonderful, loving families who wanted to adopt him. I cannot see how this could possibly be in this precious little boy's best interest. And, I can't help but think about how awesome it would have been for him to have either Grace Ann or Louisa for a sister. Maybe God has something else planned for him....but from this perspective, it's just hard to understand. (And BTW, isn't it amazing how we can become so "attached" to these little children when we've only seen their picture and heard little bits and pieces of their stories?)
  3. Amen! My heart is breaking for this family!
  4. Beautiful picture in the gallery of a beautiful new family and a beautiful new baby girl!!!! Congratuations, again!
  5. It's a girl!!! Congratulations to the newest mommy and daddy!
  6. Congratulations, Peter and Hallye, on your new son! I'm sure he is quite the little "hottie"! We can't wait to see the pictures and hear all the details! (...and what a beautiful poem, Elizabeth!)
  7. I just lit a candle....so now there's a grand total of 4!!!!
  8. Hello, Maureen, and welcome to the forum! We live in Ohio and adopted through Abrazo a little over a year ago! Let me just tell you that the Abrazogals were wonderful throughout our whole adoption journey and I, personally, can't imagine ever going through this process without them!!! I'm sure that there are many different homestudy agencies in Maryland that you can go with....just do your research and find one you're comfortable with. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that as long as the social worker has a masters degree and will do the homestudy to Texas' guidelines you can use anyone you're comfortable with. We found out about our homestudy social worker via "word of mouth"....one of the ladies that I work with was going through the adoption process and recommended her. She actually works at an adoption agency, but we just used her for the homestudy - not the adoption. Good luck and God bless!
  9. What a precious, adorable little guy in the gallery!!! Praying he finds his forever family very, VERY SOON!!!!
  10. Oh my word, that is hysterical, Adam!!!! I haven't laughed so hard in a week!
  11. Oh, I hate to hear that! I wish, I wish, I wish!!!!
  12. Wishing these children a wonderful forever home. Really not making a joke here, but wow, that's quite a cultural background (Irish, Hispanic, Cantonese, African-American). Lots of cultural educational opportunities for these twins and their family What a wonderful opportunity for some PIW's Wishing them, their Birthparents, and their future Forever Family all the best, Adam This post was from 2004.
  13. Any news about these two little guys?
  14. Bumping this up to the new page!! ....25 candles and counting!
  15. Me, too! I would love to be interested, but my husband says, "No Way! Our lives are crazy enough with one "tornado" in our house right now!". I won't tell you who he's referring to, but his inititials are JRD!!! (He might be a "tornado", but he sure is the cutest little tornado in the whole world and we love every single adorable, mischievous inch of him....even when he breaks three Precious Moments figurines in one week!!!! There's no doubt he'd be one fine gunslinger....he's got the fastest hands in the west and the east! )
  16. I keep looking in the gallery to see if there are pictures of these two precious little ones, but so far.....nada.
  17. Jonas is proof also! The Abrazo gals handled our situation exceptionally!
  18. Also praying that these two little guys will find their homes very soon!
  19. Praying for this little boy, his birthfamily and his hopefully soon-to-be, new adoptive family!
