  1. Congrats to the new family!! May you be doubly blessed.....girls are such fun, !
  2. Hi Veronica, Welcome to the forum! When we began our journey last year w/ Abrazo, it had been 7 years since our last IF treatment. And we had not had any contact w/ our RE in that time. However, I have a nice relationship w/ my GYN & she knew of all our IF history, thus she was able to write our qualifying letter. Basically, I sent a letter along w/ a SASE explaining our journey & what would be needed in a letter that would explain our IF history. Prehaps you could call the office explaining the circumstances to expedite a letter from your RE's office. Best wishes. Can't wait to follow your story! Our story in the PeaBiscuit group from May 2005. Our son was born August 2005! Be ready for a the ride of your life, !!
  3. Congrats Besty & Matthew! May all your dreams come true & your daughter have you wrapped around your pinkie very quickly, . All our best to you!!
  4. Congrats to the newest parents. May your world be full of pink & frill ! And I'm sure she is already wrapped around your finger,
  5. Congrats to the newest family. May your dreams of parenthood be blessed & all that you ever imaged. CONGRATS boys are so fun!!!
  6. Diana, I think this is how our daughter, Shayla's birthmother thinks of herself. We didn't have the chance to meet her before Shayla was born & unable to be there for the birth. We arrived when Shayla was 2 days old & still in the hospital. Shayla's birthmom took us into the nursery, telling the staff....her parents are here! May your relationship w/ Ashley & Ted continue to blossom over the years. God bless!
  7. I'll add my 2 cents here. Depending on where you live your resources can be limiting for homestudy agencies. In our case, we had 2 options a sorta local route or out-of-town & pay lots for mileage...we went the sorta local route. We live in Virginia. While Abrazo told us that we need to just up date our homestudy, we actually had to re-do the entire thing b/c of time between when it was done orginally & doing it for this adoption, make sure you check w/ your state for it's requirements too. Also considering, the requirements of Abrazo for the homestudy to be signed by a MSW is something to take into consideration. Luckily, the agency that did our homestudy had a MSW on staff. I guess you just gotta make sure your 'I' is dotted & 'T' crossed.
  8. Hey Noah, I am sure that your Mom has lots of things already for the baby. But Shayla enjoyed picking out some special things for her new baby brother. Shayla picked out a blanket, bibs, night gowns & a sleeper. Have you picked out anything special for your new brother/sister? Are you getting excited??
  9. Congrats to the new family. We know that you are riding high on the roller coaster right now. Savor these first days, what precious memories they will be!
  10. Hi Noah, I am Shayla's momma. Shayla became a big sister almost 6 months ago. Shayla says that the best thing about being a big sister is making Hayden laugh, holding him & helping with his bottle. You wil be a great big brother. All our love from Virginia.

  15. Wow Bill & Susan! Congrats on the placement on our daughter. Guess you had to get that Texas flag up pretty quick, huh? Kisses to your beautiful daughter.

  18. Not to add fuel to the fire, but I prefer to type 'birthparent' b/c it looks more appealing to the eye. I just don't care to use the abbrevations that refer to body functions...something strange but as a nurse, it wigs me out, . Also one thing to ponder is these are our children's birthparents not our birthparents. Yes, these precious souls are like angels to us b/c they have allowed us to become parents, but they are not our birthparents....does that make sense. Just something to think about.....
  19. Welcome to a good place. Our son was born in Lubbock, Texas. We were member of the May 2005 orientation group, "the PeaBiscuits" And Hayden was born August 14, 2005. Best wishes on your journey to parenthood.
