  1. Happy Father's Day to all dads / granddads! May you all have a wonderful day.
  2. Thank you ladies, it's great having both my girls together!! Lol Laney, your right the Walgreens on the strip are super nice, have been there on many occasions for cool off or purchase.. :-)
  3. Thank you all for the prayers.. They were some very difficult days, my prayers continue for family and friend's healing to continue. Haveto admit, it put me on edge knowing his passing was due to his seizures.. God please watch over all who deal with these scary episodes. Well my baby girl is finally done with her last class for the summer, so we are on our way to visit my baby girl (first born) in Vegas for a few days.. So looking forward to getting away for a while.. Yal have a great weekend..
  4. Merae, Just want to reach out and give you a HUGE HUG ... Have fun on your date with Scott... Keeping you in my thoughts and sending some prayers for comfort..
  5. That superman gets Lauranda's attention where ever we go, it's like she has a radar for him/emblem.. Isn't it amazing the different and sometimes things that seem so small are what capture someone's eye and HEART.. For my girl it was a large stuffed lion in the nursery, she's a Leo and loves lions.. I like to think of all these as God's way of bring families together.
  6. Such good ideas here.. Personally love the jewelry.. Wanted to share another idea, when my daughter finished high school her principal gave her a basket that contained paper clips, rubber band ball, note cards, binder dividers, tabs, sharpie, and a few other things that I can't remember.. But they were all things she would need and use in college..
  7. Thank you SO much for your prayers.. Going to be a tough two days with services, one of those things in life where you know you need to be there for a wonderful family yet don't want to be there at the same time.
  8. I am just heartbroken.. A good friend of Lauranda's we've known since he was a babe passed away this morning.. He and his parents were the first ones to go see her in intensive care the day word got out that she had been admitted and had a brain tumor. They spent 10 yrs. In school together then another 2 in college, altar servers for masses.. This just hit too close to home.. If yal don't mind saying a little prayer tonight for my girl and Gary's family, would greatly appreciate. Love to you all.. Hug your kiddos. Thank you.
  9. DITTO Melissa, Steven, I'll message you any info you may need via FB... can tell you all our anti-virus software is different on each one.. I appreciate you continuing to work on this.. Ya'l have an awesome weekend..
  10. Though I am not a birthmom, I do want to throw in my two cents for what it's worth....I know each expectant mom/parent(s) have different points of interest, I think because of this it is difficult to try and get the "perfect profile"... My daughter's favorite room in the house to look at was the nursery.. And we both wanted to know who was going to surround her precious child, immediate and extended family, including pets who are part of a family... So touching on Carissa's #4 family traditions is wonderful because they do include that family environment the/their child will be exposed to. I agree with Ellen, be yourselves, not whom you want the EXPECTANT PARENT to think you are to just look good on paper. Wishing all of you the best.
  11. Thank you for feedback, Monica, not sure what happened to my wifi either, it was working one morning and by the evening Abrazo was being blocked.. I spent half a day with AT&T and they couldn't find a problem so they told me I was getting blocked from Abrazo side.. I worked with Steven, poor guy invested a lot of time trying to help me.. But no dice, can't access from any computer, tablet, Kindle, or phones that access from My home wifi, that's why I have to shut off wifi on my phone to access.. Unfortunately I am a ONE FINGER typer on phone :-( so it takes me forever.. It stinks but oh well.. Hope you can get yours fixed.
  12. OK have to ask, who out there navigates the forum on your phone? How does it work for you? With this tiny screen and key pad it drives me nuts.. I strongly DISLIKE it, but with our s*%#@& wifi that apparently has blocked Abrazo since Oct. I have to turn off my wifi on phone, sometimes sit outside to be able to access.. I think when I can upgrade I'm going to look for a huge screen phone. :-D
  13. Happy Mother's Day to ALL MOMs near and far... Prayers that you all are surrounded by much love.. A Mother's Love There are times when only a mother's love Can understand our tears, Can soothe our disappoints And calm all of our fears. There are times when only a mother's love Can share the joy we feel When something we've dreamed about Quite suddenly is real. There are times when only a mother's faith Can help us on life's way And inspire in us the confidence We need from day to day. For a mother's heart and a mother's faith And a mother's steadfast love Were fashioned by the angels And sent from God above. --Author Unknown
  14. For All Mom's celebrating their FIRST Mother's Day... May This special Day be filled with love.. Before I was a Mom Before I was a Mom - I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday. Before I was a Mom - I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom - I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom - I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important. Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom. Author Unknown
  15. Leah, it was fun. Water still a bit too cold and the start of a little soreness this morning but I know that will disappear as I continue
  16. Unfortunately I think a lot of people are nonbelievers and well think/say people who experience something out of the ordinary are nuts/crazy, personally I BELIEVE people have experienced it, they may call me crazy too because I also believe in UFOs.... It's a good movie Monica, think you'll enjoy. Had a great day today.. Lauranda had her MRI and it is still clear 5 1/2 yrs after.. Thanks to God! I decided to do something for myself and signed up for Aquatic Zumba classes.. Survived my FIRST one today.. Will probably be hurting the next couple days but I didn't drown myself so I think that was a huge Victory in itself..
  17. Leah, Not sure if you've had a chance to see the movie "Heaven is for Real", but if no it is good. Early medical events in book leading up to big one not there, but unless you read the book you would not know it, still worth it.
  18. My two girls have a special bond that I pray will always remain strong.
  19. Our deepest condolences to All the family of both these gentlemen.. May they rest in peace and may they now watch over their children and their families from their sacred place. May their families feel them close as they move forward carrying their memories in their hearts.
  20. thank you everyone so much... I wanted to post pics, but there are some really nice ones on the forums first page and I don't want to over-ride any of them.. Wish there was a way to post to my gallery without disturbing the forum page...
  21. We had a wonderful Easter with family and friends this weekend.. BUT!!! We also had a GREAT pre-Easter celebration with a picnic the previous weekend with my Angel Girl, my God-Children and my sister in law. A BONUS was having yet another wonderful time with our SPECIAL overnight guest (my angel girl) which gave us an added blessing and much to be thankful for. I can’t even begin to tell you how much we appreciate and love her mommy and daddy for these gifts. My heart runith over to be a witness to the strong affection and closeness my daughter and her daughter share with each other, something that would not be possible without the giving hearts and the true essence of open adoption. Yet another wonderful blessing for us coming up, my daughter is receiving her Associates Degree on May 10 YAYYYYY.. What an awesome way for her to spend Birth Mother’s Day and great added celebration for Mother’s Day. Thank you all who have cheered her on!! God willing Next one is her Bachelor’s Degree in a few years.
  22. Wishing all the forum family and yours a wonderful and blessed Easter.. Happy egg hunt :-)
  23. Prayers for Bob's family and friends.. May he rest in peace.
