Hi Alicia, With both our children we went to TX for orientation, to visit a few months before birth, at placement and finalization, but we will continue to make visits to TX now that part of hearts live there thanks to our children's birthfamilies. Not sure about the 60 days, since Abrazo tells people at orientation that birthfamilies can sign the papers after 48 hours if they had a normal delivery not requiring a c-section. After placement we had about a week to wait for clearance to go home.

I think I just sent a childless couple you way who are homestudy ready and are open to any and all babies. Oh how I hope they call Abrazo tomorrow.

Oh my goodness I have been waiting for the power to come back on to see this post!!!!!!! Congrats to Guy, Heath and his firstfamily!!! I am at a loss of words(which happens rarely!) ! I am overjoyed for all!!

How awesome! You must go to a great church! I do and it has gotten better. It helps that my pastor and his wife were looking into adoption a few years back.

I believe you have to have your homestudy complete before you can take phone calls or have your profile shown. If you only need an update as you and I both did the second time around you can take calls etc.

Yesterday I was pleasantly pleased when my pastor's sermon was on adoption and how the church as a body should support birthfamilies and adoptive families. Grace Ann and Jack were part of the special music, as someone sang the two of them sat on the stage quietly playing. After the song, a friend spoke a little about our journey as a family. Beautiful service if I do say so myself.

First time around was wonderful because it came after years of treatments etc. She was an answer to our prayers. Second time was just as wonderful because not only where we eagerly awaiting an addition in our family so was a certain little girl. I love that when we tell Jack's story we can tell him that your sister prayed and prayed for you.
