I have a praise...I am returning to the classroom on Tuesday!! I got a call today about a kindergarten maternity leave today. I will be in this classroom until Christmas break and one of the best things is the teacher does not have any sick days left so I will be paid regular pay!!
Grace Ann lately has been praying for a sister/brother and for Mommy to go to work so she could go to preschool, so when I told her I got a job she said "No way Mommy!!"
Claudia,
We had a hige sign up in the garage that said why we were having a yard sale. I also put a add in our local newspaper stating the cause of the yard sale. A friend of ours also called a local radio station during the sale and talk about it on the radio.
We sold chips and drinks. We did really well. A lot of people would tell us to keep the change when they bought something for $1 and gave us $25. I was shocked at how kind everyone was to us.
Hope you have a sale!!!
Welcome to the forum Shelly!
My husband and I adopted our little girl through Abrazo almost 4 years ago, hard to believe!
You will find Abrazo to be a very caring adoption agency. We love them!!!
Hi Andrea!!
Welcome to the forum and to Abrazo!!
I see that you are from TN, we would love to have you and your family to come on down to Memphis for our annual Southeast Abrazo Family Reunion. Just go to The Unites States of Adoption and then click on TN talk to find out more details. At the reunion you will meet lots of people from our great state who adopted through Abrazo and you will also meet families that Abrazo adopted!
Can't wait to hear more from you!!
I just bumped the info up about the reunion.
Hope to see you and your family there!!
Oh, Franky I just saw that you are from TN.
What part??
We are having an Abrazo reunion near Memphis on the 26th of this month. We would love to have you and your husband join us. You would get a chance to meet and talk with lots of people from the area that adopted through Abrazo.
Just check out the TN talk under the United States of Adoption part of the forum.
Welcome Franky!
I am sorry for this tragic loss. I just can't imagine the loss that both you and the birthfamily must feel.
My husband I started working with Abrazo in May 2002. We found so much support from the ladies at Abrazo. Our daughter, Grace Ann was born in Nov. of that year. Since then our life has not been the same.
I would suggest you contact Abrazo and talk to the great ladies that work there. Also look around the forum. It is full of great info. And the people on the forum are close-knit family who support each other through all the ups and downs of adoption.
Keep posting.
Melissa
Claudia,
I know just how you feel. Everytime I see a Nursery Note, my heart gets tugged.
I am praying that these little ones find their forever homes very soon. I also pray for all the loving birthparents who are making these loving decisions.
I saw the interview today on Good Morning America. The author spoke about the birthmoms still dealing the shame and guilt of placing their children. It just breaks my heart to think that there are women out there that have to deal with their adoption plans in secret after so many years.
