  1. Marjory and Bob, I will just repeat what everyone else is saying: WOW!! What wonderful news! I'm so glad you were ready to become parents again! You both look so happy and the girls are just precious! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
  2. Congrats to the newest Tot Family ... I think I figured out who it is!!! So instead of the blue of the ocean, you will be surrounded by blue things for your little BOY!!!!!
  3. Sounds like a nice night, Sabrina! Michael Buble ... that voice ... yum!
  4. We love ya girl! And we know you love being a mom to T&T! Hang in there!
  5. C'mon ladies, give Stork Central a break. They've been a little busy this week! Have patience, have patience!
  6. And we'll all be here to cheer you on when it's happening for you and Tony, Linda! We love when parents-in-waiting become forever families!
  7. Tony and Donna, I see that "look" in your eyes. The one that says "you've got our hearts!". Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy.
  8. Jean, I think big brother's name is Nathaniel. We met them at Camp Abrazo 2004. They were talking about baby #2 back then.
  9. Joe and Nancy: YOU LOOK SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations from the entire O'Toole Family on your new BABY GIRL Cheyenne! She's a beauty!
  10. Funny you should say that Toni! I gave it a fleeting (very, very fleeting) thought (don't ever tell my husband that, he would really think I was out of my mind!), but then wished I knew somebody who would be lucky enough to take these babies into their lives. Unfortunately I don't, but I'm sure the good Lord has someone in mind.
  11. Congrats Betsy and Matthew!! You're PARENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear the name you've chosen and see your pretty in pink little girl's picture!
  12. Hi Sandi ... when my husband and I joined Abrazo in 1994 we just had to go our local police station to get our fingerprints taken ... two years ago I started a job at an elementary school and had to go to Sagem Morpho ... it was pretty cool how they did it there. It may be just for New Jersey.
  13. So happy to hear your news Jason and Kristen. Like all the other Forum Faithful, I can't wait to hear all the details of how you became a forever family!
  14. Another one we used to hear, maybe you need to take a vacation. Why, we weren't trying hard enough at home?
  15. A "friend" once said to Brian ... I just couldn't raise somebody else's kid. Yet, he thinks our kids are great. What would have happened if his wife was previously married and already had a child by her first husband???? Urgh!!!!
  16. "Which one of you has the problem?" (None of your business ... I used to think!)
  17. CONGRATULATIONS to all of the new families created this week!!!!! What wonderful news and what hope it must bring to all the other parents-in-waiting. MaryHelen and Jim, Susan and Bill what beautiful babies. Can't wait to see pictures from Christine and Mark (adopting siblings is near and dear to my heart!). Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! God certainly is GOOD!
  18. Congrats to the entire "Dr. Mom" family! Boy, do you give meaning to the word thanksgiving!
  19. WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also have been waiting to read this post! Congrats again Toni and Joe! Your baby girl is very lucky! Can't wait to see pictures! Stop staring at her for a minute and take a pic or two and then post them on the Forum for all the world to see! A big sigh of relief and hugs from New Jersey!
  20. Congratulations from us too! We are also glad that there is another Abrazo family in the Garden State! We keep growing and growing. Pretty soon we'll have as many families as Tennessee!
  21. I found this saying on a plaque in one of the many, many catalogs I receive. I thought these were good suggestions on how to live. The plaque was called "Alphabet for Life". So here it is: ACCEPT Differences BE Kind COUNT Your Blessings DREAM EXPRESS Thanks FORGIVE GIVE Freely HARM No One IMAGINE More JETTISON Anger KEEP Confidence LOVE Truly MASTER Something NURTURE Hope OPEN Your Mind PACK Lightly QUELL Rumors RECIPROCATE SEEK Wisdom TOUCH Hearts UNDERSTAND VALUE Truth WIN Graciously XERISCAPE YEARN For Peace ZEALOUSLY Support a Worthy Cause Just some food for thought. I'm going to try and practice these on a daily basis.
  22. I agree ... Sabrina stay with us on the Forum. Sometimes I feel the same way you do, but for a different reason. All the posts nowadays are from the "newbies". We adopted our children almost 11 years ago! Plus the fact that I am much older than ALMOST everyone else here. There is no one else from my orientation group who regularly posts on the Forum. So I used to think maybe I have no business being on here, but it gives me such pleasure to read all the exciting posts and I genuinely feel for everyone involved when plans fall through. I decided to stay and most times just be a silent reader, but every once in a while I'll still post. Please stay Sabrina, I like what you have to say.
  23. I saw Abrazo's ad in Adoptive Families Adoption Reference Guide. I called and spoke to Elizabeth, received the agency literature in April of 1994, sent our completed application to attend orientation in July of 1994 and the rest, as they say, is history. The best phone call I ever made!
