  1. 1st x grandma,

I really enjoyed your post. You sound like the perfect mother. I hope that you can help your daughter through this difficult time. I pray that your new extended (adoptive family) will stay close and the loss can be lessened because of your relationship.

Please keep posting. Maybe other birthfamilies will have the courage to share.

    Heather :)

  2. Yes, you are only suppose to baptize by proxy your ancestry line. You also have to have permission by the closest relative living to do the temple work or that the deceased has been deceased for 100 years.

We believe that not everyone is this life has the chance to learn about Jesus Christ and his Gospel. We believe that in the spirit world that there are those that are being taught the Gospel for maybe the first time or maybe the 7th time but as we do the "baptism for the dead" they have the choice to accept or not accept the work that is being done.

Here is a link that will explain it with scripture references. LDS Link Here

Sorry I do not know how to do those fancy links.

Elizabeth, about your second question honestly I think God will work all things out. I know that my children are sealed to my family but I also feel that we are all apart of a bigger family. I know that I want my children's birthparents to be a part of their lives now and in the next life.

    Really we are all adopted.

    Heather :)

p.s. I don't mind the questions because I love sharing about my church but what about other religions?

  3. Welcome Matt and Melinda!!!

Natlaie, It seems if you have a big family you must be Catholic, Baptist or Mormom.

I would love to be a family with four but not sure that its in the cards for us.

I have a 1997 Honda Oddeyssy. We only have one extra seat.

    Heather :)

  4. Today was a first for us. We actually got the kids to listen to conference. We picked out some words that they had to listen for and when they heard them they got a piece of candy out of the candy bowl. Katelyn said "conference was not as boring as she thought" and she wanted to give money for people who are stuggling. Another game we found on the internet was conference bingo. We put Skittles on the spaces instead of pennies. I think the kids have actually learned something.

Today Emelie was watching a commercial for Feed the Children or one of those. She was so excited and wanted to give her money. She said "lets call"! "now now"! She got all the bills out of her piggy bank and gave it to me.

We are going to give to our church's humanitarian fund. We've got the money in the envelopes all ready to go!

I'm glad my children are learning the lessons of giving.

    Heather :)
