  1. Leyna and Gabe had so much fun with their cousins and favorite Papa and Amma Pine! When we met to pick up the kids as soon as we pulled away, Leyna sighed a big sigh and said, "Awwww" and I said, "Do you miss Papa and Amma?" and she said very sadly (like she had lost her only puppy), "Yes." We have to call Amma and Papa everyday and she has to give them kisses on the phone. Very cute. They are so blessed to have such great grandparents and great cousins! :D

  2. So exciting for you Jeremy and Jessica. I remember when we first sent off our app and kept our fingers crossed that we would be accepted. Little did we know how many other steps we would have to take before we reached our destination of family of four. The journey of adoption is an exciting one full of twists and turns. Amanda is right, this forum is packed full of information and tons of support from families who have "been there, done that" in just about any situation you can think of. So ask questions, read as much as you can and get ready for the ride of your life! :D

  3. Jada,

I am so sorry that you are going through this lack of contact with Charlie and Lindsay. That must be so frustrating for you. I'm praying that both sets of adoptive parents "see the light" and understand why it is so important for the kids to get to know you and each other.

  4. Don't get me started!! Lets just say that Tom Cruise and his church and I don't see eye to eye on pretty much anything and this just adds fuel to my fire! Sounds like someone needs to learn a thing or two about open adoption for the sake of his children. Isn't Isabella older too? Like teenager or close to it by now? Her brother as well?

  5. Welcome to you both. What a wonderful agency to "stumble" upon. I believe that maybe someone "in charge"has led you here much as he has led many other adoptive couples and birthcouples here to make beautiful families. We hope that you find Abrazo to be as amazing as we have and don't hesitate to ask questions, post comments and make yourself at home. :D

  6. I'm so sad to hear about the dear little Abrazo babe that Auntie Ang was working so hard to help find a home. Lets hope that this path will lead him to his forever family. Thank you Abrazo gals for all your hard work in trying to get this sweet angel into Abrazo's family. We will continue to think and pray about him.

  7. A friend of mine told me that she saw an episode of Little People, Big World where Matt Roloff was talking about how his coalition CODA Coalition for Dwarf Advocacy actually helped to "facilitate" adoptions of little persons. They helped with the medical costs and with finding families to take placement of these precious children. I was wondering if Angela had any luck getting ahold of him to see if they had any ideas?

  8. Great job Tina. I really believe that you were put there to educate some people that needed educating. And maybe, just maybe the other APs will have a little spark in their heart and maybe they will eventually come around to the idea because of what you said. Wouldn't that be amazing for everyone involved? I really believe that people sometimes cross our paths for a reason and maybe these APs are supposed to cross your path for a reason!! Thanks for doing "open adoption" proud!! :D
