    HIP HIP HOORAY!!! :D:D:D The long awaited announcement!!! So happy for Melissa, Chris and Grace Ann and so looking forward to seeing photos of Grace Ann with Ethan.     My thoughts and prayers are with Sara's firstmother tonight and every night as well...may she always know how much we treasure her "pearl" and surround her with our love. May she receive God's blessings and gifts and know in her heart how much we give her thanks.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to the birthmother who will forever be a part of our Abrazo family and may at some point come around to being a part of the family she help to create. God Bless to all.

    So how many lucky couples will be attending this coming weekend orientation.....are you able to tell us yet?? Can't wait to welcome them all to our extended family!! And of course watch their journeys, like ours, unfold together :D !!

    We are still trying to decide on if we are going to orientation (we are doing the promesa program so it's optional), I REALLY want to but the next one isn't until July...and then it's only for childless couples so who knows.

    So why not send that application in and join us for orientation next weekend!?! You'll be in good company, with four other already-parenting couples, and we're just 5 hours down Interstate 35! Come on down! You'll be glad you did! ;)

    Abrazo told us and our social worker the same ..to wait for final homestudy update..and realize that for a BOG you will have to move quickly and ensure your local agency will do that for you. We have a firm committment from our local WI agency that they will do that and get someone to our home ASAP...hope we get such a call soon - B) !!

    The way we were encouraged as againers was that if possible wait to do the homestudy update within the estimated 30 day window before placement would occur. Of course I don't know how this would work if you are faced with a BOG scenario.

    This site is great...gives a wonderful well rounded approach to options for birthparents so they can indeed reach the help of someone who cares...they will be in great hands when they reach out to work with all of you!!!

    As a PIW, I really want to thank you for taking this additional step to get Abrazo's name and resources out there to birthparents...it shows a tremendous to committment to the open adoption community triad.
