Congratulations Tamara. It was my case that Nathan was placed with me prior to the orientation weekend. He and I attended some of the Saturday session and were able to tell our story, which was amazing. Good luck on your journey and keep us posted!

You have to remember that every situation is different and when you begin, you may not even make it to the orientation weekend. I didn't. Heidi didn't! Look within and pray about it. You'll find the timing that is just right for you and for your precious son or daughter. I am very excited for you and hope that you will continue to keep us posted!

Thank you so much for sharing, Sabrina. I streamlined my expenses toward the end of this year and one of the things I sadly let go were my magazine subscriptions. I always gained support and information when they had single parent articles. There were several comments that I could hear echoing from my past. The comments about "this is what you wanted," when commenting on something that isn't easy has irratated me more than once. I know that the reaction of those close to me would not be very supportive of a second adoption, either. I loved the tips. They make me realize I'm not a "bad" mom just a busy one who cuts corners here and there!
Gotta tell you again, Sabrina, you and your boys are a picture of beauty. Just gorgeous!

WOW! Wonderful things are happening at Abrazo! Three children placed with their forever families in two days! Incredible. Congratulations to Susan and Bill and Christine, Mark and Liam. I'm going to hop on over to the other strands to see Susan's announcement. I love the name, Susan and Bill. Bill, it'll be hard to top this year's birthday ever. Enjoy all!

Abrazo is the best place for support and information that I know of and I adopted my son three years ago! I log into the Forum at least once a day and always receive something positive from the time spent. Abrazo is a close knit family that always welcomes new members!
