  1. Melanie,

Thanks for sharing your story. A very touching story (which made me emotional). It is great to hear your feelings on open adoption and it is easy to feel the love that you have for your forever family, That one special little boy brought together, so much love, easy to see. Looking forward to hearing more. Great to hear your daughter is persuing her dream.

    Blessings,

    Tracey

  2. I got the heartburn question a lot when Rocco was a newborn. I think it's an old wives tale that you have a lot of heartburn if your baby is born with a lot of hair. As someone with wild curly hair, I would take the hair comments as a compliment.

A few women looked at Rocco and then me and said sympathetically "oh he must look like his daddy" as if I must be so sad he's not as fair as I am. No way!

    Nicole,

I get the same thing a lot about Lathan "oh he must look like his daddy". Denver does have dark. hair. lol

I just laugh and say yes his daddy is very handsome like him.

  3. I don't get it.... How is having a lack of prospective adoptive parents a good problem? Sorry if I sound insensitive......

I am sorry if I sounded insensitive. I did not mean to offend you and did not mean this in a negative way. In my perspective we came to Abrazo to build our family and become parents. Adoption is not easy for anyone and I believe everyone on the forum can be a witness to this. Sometimes things are said and taken in the wrong manner. I am sorry if this was taken that way.

  4. Congratulations to a very special family Eric, Tara & big brother Hugo! This warms my heart for their new family of 4.

Lifting prayers for this special birthmom today and the days ahead. May she always know how much she is loved by her new extended family and son.

  5. Its a Girl! Congratulations for Kristin, Rich and new big brother. What a beautiful announcement and beginning to a life long extended family.

May God watch over this baby girl's first mom and give her peace and strength today and the days ahead.

    Blessings to this new family,

    Tracey

  6. Great News Evelyn & Ryan! We have a daughter that is turning 20 tomorrow (from Denver's previous marriage). When I married Denver, I also became a mother to a 10 year old (she has always lived with her dad). So when we started the adoption process she was thrilled. She loves her baby brother and he loves her. It melts my heart when he sees her and he gets so excited. She lives on her own now and she is always calling to check on him or to see if she can watch him for a few hours here and there. She is always happy to have him but always glad to be able to give him back. She said she can definitely tell she does not want any children for a long time. lol Which I'm glad to hear, she needs to finish college. I believe your daughter will be thrilled to have a baby brother/sister and be so excited "when" it happens. So happy for your growing family. Looking forward to following your journey.

    Blessings,

    Tracey
