    I agree, I too watch the mailbox for the application to fill out. But, I do realize they are busy-busy.

    But I'm sure once those applications get to us all, that we will be busy trying to get everything done.

    I wish all the the New Orientation couples lots of luck and hope they have a wonderful weekend. Can't wait to hear all about it.

    Hello Melissa,

    Welcome to the forum. I am also fairly new to the forum. We sent in our inquiry last week. I read a lot on the forum before I ever posted anything. I can surely tell you this is one BIG FAMILY! It is great to talk to those who have gone somewhere down the path we all have been down "Infertility".

    I also was referred by someone who has adopted thru Abrazo. They went on and on to praise this organization and the people. They were right. So welcome and I wish you lots of luck on the journey ahead of you and your husband.

    Yup, it's kinda neat to see my name in print in a magazine. Frankly, I was a bit nervous since you never really know what someone is going to print about you after several interviews.

    Hello!! My name is Natalie, and my dh is Keith. We have been married almost 6 glorious years. We have a BEAUTIFUL 13 month old son © who was placed in our arms at 5 days old in an open adoption. C is full AA and we are both CC so we are a very proud transracial family!!

    We live in Dallas (we are moving this week actually up near McKinney / Denton, TX). We are starting the adoption process again (honestly if we didn't have to wait for the tax credit we would have done it earlier :P ) and hope to adopt another beautiful baby in another open adoption with Abrazo!! We aren't sure yet what we will all be open to, but right now we think we will ONLY be open to full AA.

    Luckily we only have to update our homestudy from the first time, and will do that once we have moved and settled in (but probably RIGHT when we move because I SOOO want to start soon LOL). We still have to "officially" joing Abrazo also, but I'm excited to begin the process again!!

    Thanks to everyone. Elaine is who referred me to ABRAZO. After speaking with her on the phone and her experience with Abrazo she gave me hope for my husband and I to have a family. Elaine was very

    assuring of her and her husband's experience. I have been faithfully reading the forum everyday. I'm hooked. So we will keep our fingers crossed and hope we are a match for Abrazo. The forum has really helped me see the advantages to open adoption and what it actually means for the children, the parents, and the birthmother and birthfather. I will start posting instead of just reading. I can tell this is one big family. I get so excited and emotional to hear of all the matches for families in waiting.

    Bumping this up for anyone new to the forum.

    There is a great wealth of websites, idea etc to make finding funds for your adoption much easier.

    I would be interested in those websites also. I have looked at a few. The interest rates are from 7.99 and up. Hope everyone is having a good day!
