Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are set to introduced a new addition to their growing family.

Woman's Day can reveal that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are adopting a two-year-old boy from war-torn Syria.

After months of top-secret negations, the couple, who already have three adopted children from third-world backgrounds in addition to three biological children, will welcome little Moussa to their growing brood.

The toddler is currently marooned in the Altinozu refugee camp in Turkey, but will soon live a life of luxury.

It was during one of Ange's visits to the camp in her role as a United Nations ambassador for refugees and displaced people earlier this year that she first met "adorable" Moussa.

We're thinking there's still more to this story...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2946546/Sammy-Davis-Jr-brought-love-child-adopted-son-tried-steal-girlfriends-told-truth-death-bed-left-son-penniless-works-Costco.html

Meanwhile, closer to home, San Antonio magnate (and Saints' owner) Tom Benson is fighting his adopted daughter in court as she seeks to limit succession rights recently assigned by him to his third wife:

http://theadvocate.com/news/11402874-93/tom-benson-is-incapacitated-daughter

And halfway around the world, the man who made headlines last week (and has so far raised $640k in crowdfunding to help him raise a Down Syndrome baby his wife considered placing) apparently has another four children (including one with Down Syndrome) whom he's not seen in years:

(And now, you're caught up on today's celebrity adoption stories! You're welcome!)

Anyone want to talk about Justin Harris, politician from Arkansas who informally "rehomed" his daughters 6 months after they were adopted? After trying exorcisms to change their behavior? And now claims he wasn't told about their behavior issues? I could go on- google his name, and you'll find all manner of atrocities done by the legal (and not really legal) guardians of these children.

This makes me so angry, sad, and sick.

http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/celebrity/cate-blanchett-confirms-new-daughter-edith-was-adopted-from-the-united-states-20150315-144syn.html

Here is the text:

Cate Blanchett has taken a thinly veiled swipe at Australia's adoption laws, confirming she and her husband, Andrew Upton, adopted their baby daughter from the United States.

"I think it is… well I haven't been through it here. It was in the United States," she told Fairfax Media with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders when asked for her thoughts about Australia's adoption laws and legislation.

Speaking on the blue carpet at the Australian premiere of her new film, Cinderella, the 45-year-old shared the news of her fourth child – a baby girl called Edith – for the first time.

"There's a lot of children out there that don't have the good fortune of our biological children so it's lovely to welcome a little girl. We're besotted."

Edith joins the couple's three other children, Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10, and Ignatius, 6.

The family are due to relocate permanently to the United States at the end of the year once Upton's term as the Sydney Theatre Company's artistic director comes to an end.

"We're all looking forward to spending more time together in one place. We spent nine years living in England and we loved it. But now we'd like to try America. They have terrific [opportunities in] television there and Cate has a very strong film career there, too, obviously," Upton said.

The Upton-Blanchett family follow in the footsteps of other high profile Australians, such as Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, who also adopted their two children through the American system.

Furness, an outspoken adoption campaigner, founded Adopt Change, a lobby group that is now working to change Australia's "anti-adoption" culture, a hangover from the horror of the stolen generations and forced adoption of the 1960s and '70s.

In 2013-14, 317 babies were adopted in Australia, a 76 per cent fall from 25 years ago.

In Australia, adoption is independently controlled by the states and territories. Prime Minister Tony Abbott has said the federal streamlining of laws is on the agenda for upcoming COAG meetings.

Well, this story doesn't exactly warm the cockles of one's heart in an haute couture kind of way:

That's very sad but I'm always curious when a will is changed and signed a few weeks before the death of the person.

Especially if they were terminally ill. Were they in their right mind? Was there undue influence from his caregivers, etc.

This is sad! Though not that I would call this person a celebrity, but a court battle has been going on here with Tom Benson (owner of saints) and his adoptive daughter Renee. He is snubbing her and his grandchildren..

I was reading about that case earlier. I wonder how much of this is drven by him or by his 3rd wife and her advisors?

Those were my thoughts, think it may be wife's team.. Because he had even tried to take what his wife Shirley had left daughter and grandchildren.. Hope the right thing is done for all involved.

Our sympathies to whomever had to do this homestudy-- can you imagine?!

Given that social workers have to interview (and get background checks) on "every household member," the Brown's homestudy worker surely had his or her work cut out for him/her!?!

In the news this week: the Robertsons (of Duck Dynasty fame) are adopting a thirteen-year-old boy! http://www.people.com/article/duck-dynasty-korie-robertson-family-process-adopting-new-son

And in more sad news, an adoptee who successfully reunited with her birthmom has become a widow, when the country-music-star she was married to died in a hunting mishap over the holidays: http://heavy.com/entertainment/2016/01/helen-strickland-craig-wife-married-funeral-who-instagram-dead-death-photos-pics/.

A fascinating look at Hollywood adoptions: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/heartbreak-hope-as-adoption-squeeze-831656.

We're not surprised to learn that adoption attorney David Ellis was involved in the "cash & carry" adoption involving the San Antonio mother, but we're guessing any Texas judge would think $20k for three months of "birthmother support" would be excessive-- as would we!?!

I can't imagine my kids not knowing their story until they were adults. I saw an article in People magazine recently about Daryll DMC McDaniels of Run DMC finding out that he was adopted later in life and found this video.
