It was a quiet Monday evening in Idaho. The couple were at home with their boys, minding their own business, when the phone rang. It was a Texas adoption agency they'd never heard of, one had that worked with their Idaho adoption agency on occasion in the past. The Texans had received a copy of the family's profile from their agency, and had a precious, two-week-old baby girl who needed a home and a family right away, yet there were no available families within their program who could come for her right away.

Might they be interested? They were!

"How soon do you need us there?" they asked. The answer came swiftly: tomorrow.

"Sounds great!" was their only response.

It wasn't because they had no obligations in Idaho the following day. It wasn't because they were eager to spend lots of money of last-minute plane tickets. It wasn't because they had no other opportunities awaiting them in the adoption arena. And it wasn't as if the idea of completing a half-year's worth of agency paperwork in a matter of hours appealed to them.

It was because in their hearts, they knew they were ready to welcome a daughter into their family, and because something in their souls told them this was their baby girl.

Abrazo is delighted, tonight, to announce not one, but two adoptions: the adoption of a precious baby girl by this wonderful family from Idaho, and the adoption of that child's loving birthfamily and her new forever family into our greater (and grateful) Abrazo Family. Blessings, all!
