  1. Happy May Day to you my dear friend. You and your family deserves the best life has to offer

  2. I hope when you read the Nursery notes you find it in your heart to give a child a home. I'm glad we did as she has given us so much in return. It is not always what you give them as they give you soooo much more. Children are a blessing at any age!
  3. How special so happy for all the loving families and this sweet little boy.
  4. I hope someone finds it in their heart for this child for a good home and praying for this BP
  5. What wonderful news and congrats to the new family. Bless this BP.
  6. Elizabeth where is the rest of the staff? I remember that hair style. I still like it...
  7. Yup, it's kinda neat to see my name in print in a magazine. Frankly, I was a bit nervous since you never really know what someone is going to print about you after several interviews. To see the article, go to: http://www.physicianspractice.com/index/fu...icleID/1132.htm You'll have to fill out a zip code, specialty and title to see the article (just make it up - here's you chance to be a physician! :-) )... Jay "I don't mind the rat race but I could do with a little more cheese." Jay we have always been proud of you but now we are especially proud and impressed. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame but to us you'll always be the Famous Smart Uncle Jay
  8. All I can say is trust the process and the ladies at Abrazo. They know what they are doing and you have to be truthfull to yourself about Open Adoption. Read some of the other posts on this thread very, very informative. PS- Rest, Rest, Rest because after Orientation your wish to become parents may come true sooner than you think Linda
  9. Nichole, That is my point exactly.... If only they gave some Agency names for reference. (The show I mean) People just don't know where to go. Linda PS - What a beautiful Avitar and Baby you have Nichole
  10. Yes Elizabeth that was my point. Thanks
  11. Hoping to hear a decision is made soon.
  12. I don't know if this belongs here but here goes. I just watched Dateline telling a story about a girl pretending to be pregnant and promising this child to more than one couple, asking for money from all of them, then cutting all communication. Did anyone see it? The desire to become parents is so strong that by not having an Agency like Abrazo to be the inbetween for the bp and ap more than money can be lost. Not to say that some this cannot happen with an Agency as there are those who may not be as sincere about there adoption but the professionals have the exprerience to know most of the time who is for real or not. This story just blew me away and the adoption fees is what keeps the Agency open to help bp and ap also to have the people in the Agency with the proper credentials doing the best they can for us all. If some of this has been said before I am sorry but I did not get a chance read all of this thread but just wanted to say a few words. Thanks, Linda
  13. Congrats to all. What a great picture in the gallery.... Boys are a ton of fun. enjoy
  14. What a great story. This is what it is all about

We love you too! Hey, Now I wish I lived in TX cause I want to meet you also and would love to get together with Dee and Andrea. Really nice people. Top Draw...
  16. Congrats.... Can't wait to see her at the NJ Reunion.
  17. Abrazo has results. From the time we attended Orientation and were blessed with our son it was 5 months. Other Agencies where tellling us 3 - 5 years (maybe more) for an infant. Also, the ladies that work there have a passion for what they do work over an above their job description. It's like a family and you become part of that family. It is a wonderful Agency. Good Luck
  18. I know how angry we all get when others outside the open adoption community don't understand why we keep an open relationship with our bf and why we would invite them into our home is because they fear for us. I try to educate them but if they only knew how children then adults who come from closed adoption have expressed to us they never feel complete. The not knowing. We take it for granted we know who we look like and our history of our family. If that was all stripped away how would we feel. Yes we are blessed to have our children as they are us but in order for them to be complete they need to know about their bf. Now some bf may not feel comfortable but hopefully someday they would be and come to Abrazo and with the letters and pics being kept for them they would feel more at ease to communicate. As said in another post the Openess has taken away any fear and we are confident of the love and parenting of our children. We as parents gain from this experience also as through our children we have a new family also. I know I've mentioned it before but our most recent visit from Ayannas' bf was the most wonderful experience and when I see how happy it made her and how at peace her bf was that we are parenting her just warmed our hearts. We are looking forward to more visits and calls and even going to set up a webcam so when we talk to we can see each other. How cool is that. Thanks for listening. Linda
  19. Tina, I commend you on trying to educate people about open adoption. People really have to stop being afraid and open their minds as to what is best for the child. All I can say is thank goodness you spoke up. Linda
  20. what a beautiful story and how blessed they all are.
  21. Doubley blessed are these babies and new parents. What a precious gift for Christmas. Prayers to the birthparents and birthgrandparents.
  22. I have to say God does work in mysterious ways. When we decided to adopt Ayanna NONE of our paperwork was done, we got our Fingerprints, Physical, Updated Homestudy, Child abuse and everything that was needed in two weeks. I did not think it could happen but it did. She was meant to be. I know we may definatley be an isolated case. We actually did not think it was going to happen as we could not get and earlier date for our physical but after speaking to our Doctor and explaining the urgency he fit us in. The Social Worker that did our Homestudy updated it in a day and the Agency sent everything to Abrazo overnight. Everyone worked with us so we could have our little girl. Linda
  23. I sure hope you find an Abrazo Family for this little boy. Our prayers are for this little boy and the family that takes him home.
