Lots of prayers and thoughts going out to this brave Mom!

Dane and I have talked about these kiddos several times this weekend. They kept popping in my head all during church today. We are praying for them both. There is just something in those eyes. I am so glad to hear things are progressing.

What a wonderful announcement. We celebrate with this new family! We wishes you many, many years of happiness!!

Hey Melissa! I meant to comment to you last night, but the time got away. Fancy that! When we did our profile we had one page about Kaitlin in it. We did have a few family photos sprinkled through out, but tried to concentrate on us. It is hard when you have a little one. You just all of the sudden stop taking pics of you all together. It becomes all about you and the baby!!! I questioned as to whether to have a page on Kaitlin, but went with my gut and did it. Nina (our birthmom) said several times that she loved the fact that her little one would have an older sister b/c she never did (she only had brothers). So, I was really glad that I added that. Hope you guys had fun and got a lot of of great shots!!!

Hmm...that is a first! OH MY!!! Lets just say that it is a wonder Kaitlin didn't arrive with a coke in hand when she was born! I might have drank a few Cokes while I was pregnant (as did Emma Claire's sweet birthmomma!).

May God wrap his arms around this precious little boy and give him the loving home that he so deserves and needs.

Hmmm....I don't really know about 2007 requirements. I just know that is how we did ours back in 2006. Our homestudy update was $250.

We had our homestudy updated once a quarter (I think that is right). I think (I could so be wrong, I am all the time, ask my 13 year old) that that kept us safe from doing any emergency updating at the time. Our birthmoms due date went from Feb 22, to Dec 10, to Nov 22 in a matter of two weeks. I was very glad to have had that update done! (Of course the fingerprinting was a whole other issue..... )

What do you mean be "re-do"? I know we still had to update our homestudy every so often before placing with Emma Claire....is that what you are talking...updating?

Oh my goodness girl! Could you and the boys just give up the California life and move to Texas SOON! I would love to have you as a neighbor!

It really is a case by case estimate. You might want to ask Angela or one of the Abrazo girls. They can be a little more specific.

Congratulations to the newest forever family!

I know that it may seem like it takes forever, but trust me when I say these girls are as hardworking and passionate as they come. They are so dedicated in every avenue. I always knew that when we didn't talk with them for a bit, it was b/c they were hard at work for many, many people! The times we have been in the office it was amazing to see that they seem to drop everything to visit with us. Yes, some would come and go answering calls, talking to prospective adoptive and birthparents, etc. BUT, they were there to chat! We even stopped by the day before Abrazo camp and there sat Renee playing with little Emma Claire! I knew that they would be there until the wee hours of the morning, but it didn't matter to them. Trust me, your call will come! I have no doubt!
