  1. My heart breaks for this little one. Our neice and nephew came into our family at the tender ages of 18 months and 36 months. They were so precious then and even more precious now! We will say an extra prayer for this little one and his courageous birthmom.
  2. We can definitely vouch for the needing to leave every 10 minutes for something or another! I too can remember being the very same way! Luckily, our church has a spot for the youth to sit together. Kait will sometimes sit with them. It is great. At the very front so everyone can see them! Funny how she doesn't seem to get up near as much up there!
  3. What wonderful news Lisa! Thanks for sharing!
  4. I just have to say you guys are all doing such a great job about being so prepared going into orientation weekend!! A lot of homestudies done, profiles being worked on....man, you guys are on fire!!! I think maybe out of our group the Coopers might have had their profile more in the work mode than any of the rest of us! Keep up the good work!
  5. Our profile was 3 pages, front and back on the letter size paper. I believe our birth parent letter went on the front. We then had a page about each one of us, our daughter and stuff about us as a family.
  6. Oh wow! We are so happy for you guys. Love the picture!
  7. Congratulations to the new H3 family! We are so happy for you as you begin on this amazing journey!!!
  8. I think we sent in our inquiry sometime around May. We were hoping to go to the July orientation, but that was only for those without children (I think...I might be wrong). We were so fortunate to get in to the September orientation where we met the most amazing people who have become lifelong friends! Congrats on starting the process!
  9. Sabrina, You are doing a great job with those sweet boys! Those smiles just capture my heart every time!!!! Did you cry when your little one scored his first basketball basket? It seems I get so emotional over things like that! I try not to, never want to embarrass Miss Priss, but I am usually choking those tears back!!! Congrats on being the mommy to two wonderful little boys!! Can't wait to meet them at camp (as well as their Mom!)!!
  10. How wonderfully spoken Pamela!! Thanks for your hard work!
  11. I know my brother in law and his ex-wife looked into this with his company. I believe that his company "Eli Lilly" payed for infertility expense (up to a certain point) and adotpion expenses (again to a certain point). I have always heard great things about this company...so if anyone is looking for a job you might think them!!!!
  12. We are quite the chatties over there...pretty much everywhere I guess. I definintely think that is awesome that some companies will kick in paying immediately. Ours was like yours and kicked in at placement. You are right a BIG LETTER OF THANKS should go out to those companies!!
  13. Good idea Lisa! You have been busy today!! I had forgotten we had that big discussion...but it was neat to go back through and read again!!

  21. Congratulations to the newest family! What a special and wonderful Christmas gift!!! Enjoy this time!!!!!
  22. Lisa, You are the queen of great ideas girl! Love it! It took a while for me to find my first post.....I actually was astonished at how many PAGES of posting I have done...WOW!!! Here it is! "My husband and I will be attending the upcoming orientation in September. I have noticed a few comments about the profiles and not much time in getting those done. Should I go ahead and get ours done before hand?? Just want everything to be taken care of without me going into a state of panic when we get home! I know we won't have long to return the packet....10 days, right? Also, any advice from those who are pros at this???"
  23. Lisa, I have heard this comment several times and it always gets under my skin. I am with you....what a horrid burden for this little one to have to grow up with. I haven't yet watched the interview. I have it dvr'd, I am hoping to get to watch it this weekend.
  24. What a wonderful special moment!!! I am so glad that you were able to be "there"!!! I can't wait to hear more and more and more stories of that precious little one!!
