Wow! Congrats to all the parents and their baby girls. So much happens when you are sick and can't check the forum on a regular basis. So happy for all of you!

Ha ha - I did the geritol thing. I tried the bottle a couple of times, couldn't handle it, so I bought the tablets instead. Much better! Still nothing happened for us! I even tried the cough syrup! Memory lane! The best decision was finally realizing it wasn't going to happen and start to interview agencies....... I still laugh every time someone mentions geritol! I ask them have you ever tried that stuff? That stuff is nasty!

We did this with all our analytical friends and family. You would not believe the little things they said, especially about pictures. Who would of thought a BP might not select you because you have a pool or like water We took their advise, especially when she said not everyone is willing to be in the middle of an ocean with no life jacket in a canoe or you are playing around in the pool with the dogs floating on a surf board. huh! They all have great advise, plus you get to learn what they think about the adoption process and see what kind of support you will get through the entire process.

Amanda - Welcome to the forum, and I am thankful that your prayers resulted in a perfect match. It is such a wonderful experience to be a part of such a new extended family. And congrats to you, Baby Cliff, Cliff, and Allison.

Gigi & Edwin - Welcome - you guys will really enjoy the forum and the experience. The Abrazo ladies do a great job guiding you through the process. Best advise is from those above, read up on Open Adoptions and don't rush into the decision, make sure it is for both of you guys. But, don't be scared off by some of the stories you may read because that might just be one story out of a thousand great ones. We did here of Michigan as being a great place to adopt too. We went with Abrazo, because they are in Texas. And, if I am going to have an Open Adoption with someone, I want it to be a place that I don't mind visiting. That was one thing that added to our decision. Utah is nice, been there and dont that not excited about visiting annual, New Mexico is the same. I need an IKEA and hills and pools, beach, everything. Ask lots of questions too. Enjoy everything

People say the craziest things!

Donna and Bart - I am excited for you two. The entire process is breath taking, exciting, tearful, and exciting again. We had so much fun just learning and reading about the adoption process, the open process, and understanding what it means to find the right match. The good thing about Abrazo's forum is that everyone has a great story and everyone has different relationships with their BP - you can learn so much here. If you need some reading material, let me know, I think I read every book out there on what it means to go through an OPEN adoption before we even decided to follow the process. Maybe next year we will see you at Camp Abrazo or at least at the MAMs reunion.

How exciting! Great things do happen when you come to Camp Abrazo. It was great meeting you guys. Congrats on being +1 now.

As I read through the post of Brad and Mel, I am reminded of the day that the sweet peas flew around us during orientation. The way each of us grabbed as many as possible, because Elizabeth called each "Pea" a possibility (yes, I remember). It is amazing that 11 months later we can now close this chapter of our lives and MOVE to the ALUM Group!!!!! I am going to love every minute of this new ride. Peas you guys have touched our lives in a way that you guys will only know. Brad and Mel and big Brother - Enjoy your time in Odessa then El Paso...... Yes I remember that too. I pray for a nice quick interstate for you guys.

Congrats! Parents of a miracle baby girl. Mommy and Daddy is the next ride for you guys. Enjoy your time in Dallas, Tx. Lots of great food, malls, and hotels. Can't wait for you to come back to Memphis to show her off.

Depending on the drive time and when they actually left, they just might be in Dallas right now. So maybe by 5:00 or 6:00........ You guys are causing me stress with all this posting over here, I keep rocking back and forth.
