Sue, what a great post! I could relate to so much of that. Sometimes I feel like I cheated Katharine, then other times I feel like I cheated Addison, but bottom line, it was definitely God's plan for us to have Addison so quickly after Katharine and he held our hand every step of the way down that path he wanted us to go. I know that in the very fiber of my being. So, Tina, pray and go with the tug!!

Let me add an "AMEN" to unexpected blessings as we got a call when Katharine was 11 months and one day old -- completely out of the blue -- to tell us that little Addison had been born and to ask if we would take her. We got throught the shock, the whirlwind, the laughter, the tears and the rest, as they say, is history. A wonderful history, at that. Key to all of this, though, was and is the relationship that we have with their birth family. While we wish it was one of more frequent communication -- we would like to talk them more than they are available --we are always there for them when they can talk. And they know that no matter what, we love them and are here for them. We're so blessed! What a journey.

Congratulations to all the new families getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow. God is good, all the time and has blessed us all this night. Hugs and best wishes to you all!!!

Amen Monica, Celeste and Toni! Our children are the children we were meant to have, regardless of how they came into the world or into our families. That IS the beauty of the miracle. I still get upset with people for not "getting it" -- and tons of people don't, even close friends and some family -- but now I sorta feel more sorry for them than I do angry. They're missing out on so much love!
