  1. Just read this...Katherine Heigl & Husband Adopting a Girl Almost exactly a year ago, musician Josh Kelley said he and wife Katherine Heigl weren't talking about starting a family. Looks like somebody changed the subject. "Katherine and Josh are adopting a baby," the actress's rep confirms to PEOPLE. The couple are adopting a girl from Korea; Heigl's sister also was adopted from Korea. Heigl, 30, who married Kelly in December 2007, recently hosted a baby shower for Ellen Pompeo. And last week, Heigl got a leave of absence from Grey's Anatomy to film the movie Life As We Know It. Heigl's adoption plans were first reported by RadarOnline. Reported on People.com

  5. I would like to know the reason why...we refer to my best friend as uncle Jeremy. The kids love uncle Jeremy and I am not sure why them being adopted and refering to a family friend as uncle a bad thing. Jeremy and I are like brother and sister, I am even his best chick (man) for his wedding next week. Jeremy has told us on many occasions that he would do ANYTHING for our children, that's more than my brother in law would do and they call him uncle? I guess I am confused why that with adopted children you should only refer to aunts and uncles as such. (Ie don't refer to your friends as aunt and uncle to your child Jennifer
  6. Grey's Anatomy's Brooke Smith Adopts Baby Girl By Lisa Ingrassia Originally posted Friday May 16, 2008 06:50 PM EDT Grey's Anatomy actress Brooke Smith has adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. It is the second daughter for Smith, 40, who has a 5-year-old daughter, Fanny, with her cinematographer husband Stephen Lubensky. Smith, who is best known for her role in Silence of the Lambs, told PEOPLE in October that she and her husband were considering adopting. "You know, why not?" Smith sad, adding that she and Lubensky have traveled to Africa several times, and filmed a documentary on conservationists in Zimbabwe together. "We still might end up there some time," she said. 7. I had a few tears in my eyes, and I don't cry easily.
  8. I just love our neighbors. Tonight while Delaney was getting in the shower she fell and busted open her chin. Doug wrapped her in a towel and ran next door. Dr. Doe (surgeon) cleaned her wound and called his nurse, who happened to be less thsn 5 minutes away. She came over with all his stuff, and they (Dr. and nurse) gave Delaney stitches right there on the breakfast table. She is feeling great and was an even better patient, since she trusted the doctor. The hospital is only 10 minutes away but then factor in the wait, we were back at our home in less than an hour and we even visited a little when she was all done. I just wanted everyone to know I have the best neighbor He is even going to remove the stitches for us. I just hope that her pictures on wednesday don't show the stitches.

  11. Oh Laura, We felt the itch too and stopped by Abrazo's office after we finalized Miller and picked up an application. I wouldn't change it in the world. Miller and Delaney are less than 15 months apart and are such great friends. Jennifer
  12. I so wish we could add this little angel to our family. None of our paperwork is up to date On sunday both Miller and Delaney asked for a baby brother, I sometimes wonder if God is whispering on our ear through our children. I know that both Doug and I want another child, he just told me last week he would love to have a baby in our home to hold all day (he works from home now). How does anyone know if this or the next case is for their family....I am going to pray about this baby boy right now!
