Ours was simple. A call to our OBGYN's nurse and a week and a half for them to draft a carefully worded letter=^) Most OBGYN's are familiar with this request and are happy to accommodate. I requested mine in July of this year, and then during my annual check up in October, had to respond to questions about why we "gave up" and went with adoption.

We want to say THANK YOU! to all of you for your positive energy! Corey and I got the packet about a week and a half ago and are working diligently to gather all of our information and answer the essay questions! We have gotten sidetracked by home renovations (part of our "getting ready for baby") but hope to mail it in next week. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Have a great weekend! Corey and Rebecca

Still breathlessly waiting! Today is 3 weeks since we mailed in the application, and a phone call revealed that we are "pending!" Pending is good! I can handle pending! Here we are. My husband and I mailed in our Inquiry a week ago and we (including my whole family) are breathlessly waiting for our (hopeful) approval and application packet. I keep looking to the forum for encouragement, comfort, knowledge and keep finding things that we haven't thought about yet. I'm looking forward to our journey towards parenthood and hope that this adventure is as seamless as it appears to be in all of your lives.
