I love it when God lets us in on what he had planned all along. Congratulations to Colin's family adoptive and birth as they will function as one that loves and supports one tiny little boy. It's beyond wonderful and a story I can identify with in so many ways.
It's a beautiful day in the Abrazo families' neighborhood. Congratulations to all the new families and triads that have gotten off to a wonderful start.
A Mother's Day blessing is doubly blessed because it is an open adoption with lifelong commitment. Congratulations to all the members of this newly formed expanded family.
Congratulations to the newest againer Abrazo family! I love the facebook post and the the "God Effect" that brought the two families together.
Interestingly enough, I joined the Abrazo Forum just two days before Nathan was born. I wouldn't know about him for several weeks, but I know God led me to become a part of this community and without a doubt to be Nathan's mom. The same is true for you, Kristin. SO cool.
The photos reflect the loving, beautiful person D'Nola was. She will be missed by many. May God hold Bruce, Pat, Karen, Scott, and the girls close in this, a most difficult time.
What a beautiful announcement, Elizabeth. And it is such a beautiful reason that you placed fingers upon a keyboard to announce the building of Abrazo's newest family. Congratulations to the new parents and birthmom. May this be the beginning of a life long connection and love.
The news of D'Nola's passing saddens me greatly as she was one of those vibrant people who touch lives where ever they go. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and talk with her. She had the most wonderful smile and attitude about life. She mentioned a book she had been reading about living and dying. She was a realist and savored every minute of life. I know that many will miss this great lady, and I am one of them. Thank you God for engineering the crossing of paths with this very special woman and her lovely family. I am better for having known her. There is a beautiful new angel in heaven tonight. We will miss you D'Nola.
Hi Amy,
Welcome to the Abrazo Forum. It is, as you have found, a source of information and support for everyone who decides to come in. I am glad that you have decided to come in and share. I have found that adoptive and first parents can learn an awful lot from each other which benefits the most important members of the triad, our children. Abrazo is more than just an adoption agency. It is a huge family full of the most wonderful people. I hope to hear more of your thoughts as time goes on. Your thoughts are of particular interest to me as my son's first mother has chosen not to have contact yet. May God bless you and your family as you make this journey.

I personally was thrilled to come home today to be greated by the beautiful picture of a new mom and her beautiful baby boy. I thought of the love and joy the two would have and thought of my son and I. Perhaps the single parent household is not ideal, but there's no denying that there is love and a genuine desire to parent. Be that right or wrong, my heart sang to see another baby boy of color being wanted and loved whole heartedly.
A week full of blessings, sacrifices, and love. Wishing all of the new families heartfelt best wishes, care and understanding as they begin their lives as family expanded.
