ElizabethAnn
Good news! The grandmother from Mexico who was granted custody of her grandson living in Oregon flew there and worked things out in person this week, meaning she has consented to the foster family's wish to adopt the child, provided the adoption is open and allows the child ample access to his Mexican relatives and culture: Oregon/Mexico Adoption Dispute Resolved. ElizabethAnn
The latest news in the saga of the missing child in Florida, Caylee, is that her mom had wanted to place her for adoption but was talked out of that plan by her mother (the child's grandmother, who subsequently became the primary caretaker by most accounts.) See: The Latest In the Sad, Strange Disappearance of Caylee Anthony. I keep thinking we're going to find out that she placed her child for adoption with some wealthy couple living abroad, and that's why she keeps intimating that she knows she may or may not see Caylee again? and why she doesn't appear all that worried about the child's welfare? But one can only wonder if things may have turned out better for Caylee, had her mama been allowed to pursue her initial plan of placing her child with a loving family who could've enabled the grandparents to continue contact via open adoption?
