melissamerritt
Ugghh! Sadly most people outside of the adoption world will think that is funny.
Monica281
Not funny at all, I am not sure when people are going to realize that "joking" about adopting or placing a child isn't and never will be funny.
elly_mae
I'm both infuriated and unbelievably saddened by this. I know I don't have to explain why this burns me as a birth mom so I will spare the nitty gritty details. My eyes teared up and my stomach dropped upon reading this. DPJ
Who knew?! Jane Fonda is the adoptive mother of a now-grown woman who quietly joined her family as a disadvantaged teenager: http://www.oprah.com...ological-Family. Watched the interview with Jane's daughter last night on the TV network OWN (Oprah). She showed her birthmom and how she has reunited with many of her family members. She is very well spoken and Janes kept refering to her as her "miracle"......who knew!? But, she has written a book about growing up & growing up as Jane's daughter. Great interview with Oprah! fran.c.didonato
Ok, I haven't read this entire thread. But I'm watching the program about Barbara Walters and did not realize that her daughter was adopted and that Hugh Jackman's two children are adoptees too. Who knew? Probably most of you Edited May 17, 2014 by fran.c.didonato
TexasFamily
I believe that Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, are big advocates of adoption here and in Australia.
