  2. Happy 2009 The holidays have come and gone and all I can say is WOW!!! I had almost forgotten what a special time it can be when you add young children into the picture. Abigail and Shaun are both 2yrs old now and have boundless energy and add Christmas into that-double WOW!!!! My prayer for all of you is that you have a wonderful new year filled with love of family and friends, laughter, and health. God Bless, Gram Sharron
  3. Where does the time go I ask? Let me catch up... Abby was two this past Saturday and had a blast at her Mickey party. She now talks in sentences and really is very funny and a bit impish to say the least. She gives her Mom and Dad a run for it all the time. And my grandson Shaun is trying in earnest to catch up to Abby but has not succeeded yet. I can't believe it is almost the holiday season already.. where does the time go? I have had some more health issues that have slowed me down a bit and I'm not happy about it at all but Lord willing it won't go on for much longer. Well that's just a bit of my life these days. Wishing a very happy and healthy Fall to Y'ALL.
  4. We take so much for granted in life, and then you realize what you have in front of you. Grandchildren are such a beautiful presence to have at this time of my life, I'm young enough to run with them and still learn from them as young as they are.
  5. Time is a precious gift I have learned. My Sweet Girl Abigail was two years old yesterday and as I watch her grow I realize what an amazing God we have. He has enriched my life so by delivering Abigial to our family. Time has become so valuble to me- to watch her grow and discover the world around her. Time has also given me the patience ( or Not )to deal with other health issues that I am going through but know that they have to be dealt with so I can be here for Abby and be a part of her life for as long as God grants me life on this earth. She is my reason for living and it is amazing.......
  6. Hi Laurel, We are not lucky enough to have Abby's birth family in our life but I'm sure that you are worrying to much about this family gathering. All concerned love this child unconditionally and it will all come together naturally I'm sure. You will be very busy once you get to SA and time will fly quickly. There will be a lot you will won't to do to make this wonderful occasion memorable for you and your family. If you have time try hard to get to the SA Zoo it was great, they have a special childrens section there that the kiddos can play in water and sand it is a great experience Abby who was just shy of a year old last year just loved it. And a very nice way to cool off I might add, and a word of advice bring a change of clothes for the kids they will get wet. Good luck and Ihope that I was of a little help anyway. Love, Gram Sharron Proud Gram of Abigail and Shaun
  7. Welcome Baby Isabella and God Bless you and your Family.
  8. Well here I am again time has passed so quickly this summer and now I'm back at school. Colleen Abby and myself had a great summer. Spent time on the beach and just loved watching Abby as she grows to love life. My grandson Shaun is just adorable also, there is two months between the two and Abby really shows him who's older all the time. I really don't know how mothers do it that have their children close together my two are nine years apart, when the two grands are here together my head spins. But I love it. So on that note I wish you all a wonderful full. Love, Gram Sharron
  9. Wishing all the Special Grandparents out there a wonderful day. I have been richly blessed thanks to Abrazo and I'm sure you have been to. God Bless, Gram Sharron
  10. So much time has passed since my last post and I feel like I've missed so much. So let me catch you up on what's been going on with me. My sweet Abigail is growing so fast she is now almost 21 months old and is to smart! She has been walking since she was 10 months old so because of that now runs so fast she can't stop herself, she also started to talk very early so now is doing very well in that area also. She has her Papa right where she wants him wrapped around that cute little finger of hers just the way she likes it. And of course I might add Papa loves it. Still struggling a bit with my health issues but progressing nicely the doctors say so I can't ask for more then that. Enjoying my summer off from school with Colleen,Abby and my now retired husband. Abby loves the beach so we do a lot of that ,there's nothing better then the Jersey shore. Have a great summer Y'all. Gram Sharron
  11. Just wondering how you and your family are. Hope you are enjoying your growing family.
  12. How wonderful for you and your family. Cherish this special lady and keep her close. I wish that we had Abigail's birth family in our lives.
  13. As for myself being a grandparent to an adopted child I would do whatever it took to protect that child. This child first of all is a gift that was bestowed upon us from God to love and protect at all cost so I would do whatever it took to keep this child safe and free from harm. I have not read the story of this missing child but can only hope that he is found soon. Let me also say that it wouldn't matter if this child was adopted or not wouldn't we all want to protect an innocent child from this sometimes very cruel world?
  14. Wonderful news-God Bless All of you and your new gifts from God.
  15. Oh Nana Carleen it is just wonderful to see you posting. And I might add to see such a beautiful post. God bless your daughter and her new gift from God. It was truly the best day of my life when my first grandbaby was placed in my arms after waiting so long for her. Enjoy and God Bless you all. Gram Sharron
  16. Can I tell you what a chill I get when I meet an Abrazo family member and they say oh! your Gram Sharron. It makes me proud even though I know usually I am the oldest person in the room and I must be a grandmother by elimination but hey who cares. I love the opportunity to be with such wonderful caring people and glad I can be a part of something so unique and special. Abby is nineteen months old now and I could just look at her all day and I'm lucky that I'm only down the road so I do for the most part see her everyday, she has brought such joy to me and Papa Jack who I might add is so in love and a total mush over her. Soon we will be done with school and it will be beach time with Abby in tow I can't wait. My health has slowed me down a bit but can say for certain I'm starting to feel like my young self again, just need that sun on my face and salt water on my feet and I will be better in a heartbeat. Well I've rambled enough I just wanted to say hi and let you know whats being going on with me. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to something wonderful in your lives. God Bless, Gram Sharron

  18. Hi All, Well one thing I have learned, what ever the time frame is a doctor gives you-don't believe him. I'm 5 weeks post op and now being told that my 2 weks and back to normal is not true and I'm not a happy camper. I'm back at school and doing everything I can to get thru a day. Doctor says it will take about 6months to be pain free. WOW what happned to my two weeks ? But I am woman hear me roar-I can do it. God Bless my family. Thanks for listening, Gram Sharron PS Looking forward to the Jersey Reunion and seeing everyone there.
  19. Oh she is so big and so develish! But she can do whatever she wants. I'll get on Colleen for pictures. Have a great day!
  20. Thank you everyone for all your prayers and well wishes. I'm feeling much better now, espeacially knowing the out come is treatable. Now I can't wait to pick up my sweet Abigail and not have to worry about the pain factor or her bumping into me. Again thanks so much for all your support during my down time. I'm back and ready to go, Gram Sharron
  21. WOW I feel so special-but how did I get my own blog-what is a blog anyway?? I'm just doing what I do best-talk about my sweet Abby and Shaun. How totally cool is this!!!!!
  22. Dale and Amanda what wonderful news! God bless your new arrival.
  23. Hi Everyone, Just checking in and trying to read everything I've missed and it seems everyone is doing great. Colleen,Tom,and Abigail have had a lot of illness over the last several months every time Abigail gets over an ear infection before you know it she has another. Tom had two wisdom teeth removed last week and is really in a lot of pain. Colleen and I are really battling any chilhood germ out there with being teachers we catch anything sneezed our way. Then just add in the normal daily stuff and WOW the days and weeks are gone! I don't know how Colleen does all she does without crashing. We are both in the middle of putting on Suessical in our own schools plus she also comes over to help me with my show so she is really doing double duty-gotta love her. My Abigail is simply wonderful I tell Colleen she is mine I just let Colleen borrow her. Abby has been walking for so long now that she runs ,to see that petit little thing run all over cracks me up, and she simply loves her PaPa as she now calls him, all he wanted from her was to call him by name and give hugs so he is one happy madly in love guy right about now. So that is a very brief view of whats been going on I'll try not to be away from all my friends for so long. Take care everyone and stay warm, Gram Sharron

For those of you who don't know me I'm Gram Sharron I am the proud and very much in love Gram to adopted Abigail who is almost 16 months old and Shaun not adopted who is almost 14 months.
